What is Hummingbird Haven?

Hummingbird Haven is a California-based 501c3 non-profit organization that provides a range of services to help veterans with PTSD and their loved ones cope with STSD. Our mission is to create a safe space for recovery, offering services from access to wraparound services to personalized therapy and life coaching, all intended to help you transition into civilian life while at the same time help you develop the skills necessary to manage PTSD.

Who can benefit from your services?

Transitioning service members, Veterans with PTSD, and their family members coping with STSD can benefit from our services. We are dedicated to supporting all those affected by these conditions and providing resources and aid to help improve their lives.

I’m a veteran with PTSD. How can Hummingbird Haven help me?

Hummingbird Haven can provide access to wraparound services, personalized therapy sessions, guided life coaching, healing circles, and holistic approaches to healing like yoga and meditation. We aim to provide comprehensive support for you as you navigate the challenges of PTSD and transition into a harmonious life. 

Are your services free?

Yes, all our services are provided free of charge. As a non-profit organization, everyone should have access to these essential services, regardless of their financial circumstances. You don’t have to be enrolled in VA benefits or health care to benefit from our services.

As a veteran, I am having difficulty transitioning back into civilian life. What can I do?

Please reach out to Hummingbird Haven. We provide access to wraparound services and a range of resources to help you navigate this transition. This includes helping you secure your DD-214, helping you get plugged in to the VA, connecting you to services to help develop new skills, access job training, and find transitional housing if necessary. We are here to support you every step of the way.

Can my family members also receive support from Hummingbird Haven?

Absolutely. Hummingbird Haven recognizes the impact of PTSD on loved ones and offers support services for family members dealing with STSD. This includes therapy and participation in Healing Circles.

What does the therapy process involve?

Therapy at Hummingbird Haven is personalized according to each individual’s needs. Typically, it involves one-on-one or group sessions with trained therapists and counselors working with you to address your specific concerns and challenges.
